Dedication to Brisbane Bus Drivers

Sunday, February 24th, 2008

Fuck you all.

I have never experienced more grumpy $$#$%# *%^*#)%) in one job role in my entire life. BCC bus drivers need to give themselves and Brisbanites a large break.

Thanks to all the BCC Bus Drivers that were a$$holes to either myself of other Brisbanites, well done guys, Brisbane wouldn’t be the same without you!

Wine Review: Tyrrell’s Wines, Heritage Malbec 2002

Friday, January 25th, 2008

Tonight I put my phone on silent and opted for a night in, thought I’d post a novice review of a bottle of Tyrrell’s Heritage Malbec 2002.

The initial tone is quite sharp, a little thin and fairly sweet. It’s a nice initial favour, but leads into a slightly disappointing thiness. I guess that’s to be expected in the mid-full bodied range, it has been been matured in french and american oak barrels. To be honest it’s not really my thing, I prefer a much ‘bigger’ flavour - a big cab sav. That said, this is a nice wine with a lot of flavour and really nice texture.

The flavour really is quite nice, plums, cherry and dried fruits, a chocolate and berry nose , the best part is the texture, it’s very gnorish and really feels very smooth and leads to a very nice tast in the mouth. I have only had the bottle uncorked a little while and it’s starting to taste much nicer now.
