Sorry about the lack of posting of late, I’ve been flat out keeping up with social activities and resting in the meantime. Has been a pretty amazing week indeed. I’m still yet to get to my Europe write up and I’ll probably finish it off later this month, or on the Shinkansen (Bullet Train) in Japan.

Spent Monday recovering, Tuesday I went out for a nice Chinese dinner in Soho, Ray said it was meant to be one of the best Chinese places in London and boy he wasn’t wrong. The place was packed out by the time we finished. It was Malay Chinese, so I was in heaven. I chose the dishes, with the exception of the salt and pepper squid, and it all matched perfectly and I really enjoyed catching up with Ray and chatting about our July’s. Afterward we walked about 3 laps of Soho looking for a famous little coffee shop, we found it and I had an Espresson that was totally on par with anything I experienced in Italy, if not better, I was seriously impressed! Ray sure know’s how to Wine and Dine! Love it!

On Wednesday I met up with an English ex-girlfriend I dated over 9 years ago at a private members only bar in Soho. The bar was really cool, originally an artists bar and the locals were all quite the character, especially the barman, we shared all manner of cultural tales and had a great time assessing the differences in certain cultures! After a fair few beers we went for really nice Japanese meal in Soho Chinatown. It was great, I had a large bowl of Vegetarian ramen, shared some Ebi (Prawn) and Vegetable tempura and I had 4 pieces of Unagi (Eel) Nigiri. Was great to have a good feed of Japanese as it had been a while. After dinner we went to ‘Tiger Tiger’, one of Londons more famous mega clubs where we met one of Lana’s friends from Sunderland girls school who was going to Georgia, USA and having a farewell party. Was a great night and I really, really enjoy Lana’s company, such a sweet girl and it’s really interesting and quite fun to see her all this time later! Good times indeed

Thursday night was Dan’s 30th birthday at the Piano Bar in Kensington High Street, I had a good time and it was good to catch up with Gerry and meet Dan’s new roommate Chris who invited me to the annual Great British Beer Festival the next day. I sampled all manner of beers for the bar that I’d never tried before and everything wrapped up fairly early, so Dan, myself and Chris cabbed it back to London Bridge and hit another bar there. I ended up staying at their place and got myself home in the morning, feeling a little worse for wear, but not that bad!

So Friday made it along, 08/08/08, my favourite date of the entire decade! I made my way to Earls Court to the Great British Beer Festival and after paying 3bob for my glass I entered the fray of ales and interesting English cuisine. Never have I seen so many ugly people in my entire life, NEVER! I had a great Vegetarian Cornish pasty, an amazing Vegetarian Samosa and one of the best pie’s I have ever eaten, a Chicken Balti. Chris and South Island Kiwi Matt ended up going home and it was myself, a Black English guy Rodney, A Scot from Glascow, An Airian Candaian with pure German genes walking around being inappropriate and sampling all manner of ales and largers. Excellent company, all of them, I love London like that, also this age (they were all a bit older and in their 30’s). Some ales tasted like pure ass (I’ve been told what it tastes like :P), but some were good, highlights included a really nice Wheat beer from France, a cherry chocolate UK ale, and a honey beer from North East England. I ended up fairly pissed after about 20+ half pints and sent myself home on the Tube, met a really interesting guy on the train and had a great chat most the way home. I have a solid headache today, but don’t feel sick in the slightest, which is a fair result I reckon! Good times

Really enjoying myself! Today I’m just resting getting ready for Wales and watching the Olympics. I’ve also been planning out Japan and I’m going to go all out and have set aside a good budget for the trip. I want to buy some more shoes, about 3-5 shirts, some beats and some more jeans. Plans of what to do and see are shaping up nicely, I’ll do a post of the itenery before I get their later this month. I cannot hardly wait to be honest and I’m also keen to get back into Munich and hit the English beer garten, possibly even the nude one as well, fuck why not!!

But I must say that the more time I spend in London, the more people I meet and catch up with, all the whilst getting to know the city, the more I realise that I could live here in a heart beat. I was on the Tube yesterday and it hit me how much I really do love London, it’s really a great place to be if you know people and are willing to put up with the shit that comes with a big city such as London. I have a feeling I’ll be spending at least 2-4 weeks here a year for quite sometime, in Summer of course. Way, way too much stuff to do here and things to see, not to mention people that I need to have a pint or two with, I have about 8-10 people on my list and I just know I’m not going to get time this trip to meetup with them all.

Th’as been an interesting month indeed. New love - now old, 32 days living in 37 other peoples pockets, many memories, many, many good times and the best day of my *entire* life. Not bad, infact I am chuffed! I am going to do an entire chronological write up as it’s “a good story” (big-ups to Carl for that, love you mate - well not really, but good saying!) and nobody can interrupt my flow Maybe that’s why I like blogging so?

Not too shabby and well beyond what I expected, albeit I was entirely exhausted almost the entire last two weeks and definately not being myself at all times. Not at all, sad part is you are always judged by these defining moments! Euro tours will do that to you!

Oh Well!

So what the fuck happened? Loads really, like doing 25 cities in 32 days was not enough, I decided that a mini love affair might make a good mix to the equation, boy was I wrong! (again)! LMFAO! (for those un-annointed, that means Laughing-My-Fucking-Ass-Off, LMFAO)!

In all fairness to the amazingly beautiful and beyond georgeous, smart as fuck, lovely young girl involved, my intentions were pure, however the rest was well lacking. Sorry Tara Jane, you know that wasn’t me and the rest as they say is history! I was plain exhausted and well on holiday - in more ways than one. I really think you’d be far better off with someone else, maybe someone more ordinary and lukewalm? Once again I need to laugh, sorry everyone - it’s how I cope (that was really a joke) Overshare? Fuck it, it’s what happened!

But in all seriousness I loved my time away and really wish I’d expressed myself differently. Maybe left people on the tour thinking that I actually enjoyed myself, shit I hope some did! Cos I really did! That said control has never been my strong point, either way, those that control, nor those that are controlled. It’s gay (need a better word, but that will do for now). I like my life and taking a step back into the past into something that I’d clearly have enjoyed when I was say younger, was quite a step away from today’s reality. The reality I created and need to start respecting in it’s entirety. Not only that, but I need to start respecting other people’s Bullshit, irrespective of whether they are right or not. You have no idea how hard that was to say! Baby steps…

I also managed to leave my camera charger and battery on the fucking bus when we left which sucks, so pics might be a little while away. Got some great pictures and vids though!

Life is funny and once again I feel weird. I cannot help but think everything is on track - albeit for the fact the everything is beyond out of control. Seriously, I mean everything!! Here’s a list to give you an idea:

1. Tomorrow = nfi
2. Finances = up the shit
3. Current debts = 5k
4. Currently owed = 4k
5. Potential contract hanging in the balance for 32 days too long = 12k/6mths
6. Love = distant
7. Hunger = satisfied
8. Alcoholic Liver = happy

So I guess it’s not that bad really. 7 unt 8 are all that really matter in times like these. But woe is poor me, I secretly love it. God these posts are getting worse. I really do miss all you guys at home, I really do. Love you all to bits!

So where to from here? Well to be honest I have NFI. I think I’m happy for this day. Tomorrow will be different and I cannot wait to tackle something different. More than likely either Ireland, Wales, or something stupid like India.

It’s been nice to just relax for a month and not have to worry about anything while I catch up on reading what I should, and addressing other areas I should have kept up with better! I cannot say that London is exactly somewhere I would choose to live, but I could live here very easily if I had to, that’s for sure.

So tomorrow I need to get a few mission critical items for my trip to Europe and get packed etc. I’m starting to get really excited and slightly nervous at the prospect of being offline for a month. Shall be an interesting trip I’d say - well honestly I know it will be - for some strange unknown reason, I can just tell it’s going to be great!

… And not the normal funny either! Usually it’s making an inappropriate or cutting remark that’s (to me) usually quite funny, but today I’ve felt weird all day. For the first time in just under 2 years I’ve felt unsettled, like something is missing. Fuck, who knows? But I thought it appropriate to do a random blog post, lord know’s why? (secretly, maybe I do, after all, I be the Lord round these parts y’all!)

Anyway here it is. I downloaded music for the first time since losing my harddrive that fateful October where life changed for what’s only becoming apparant lately as the better. God what a ride! While it hasn’t exactly been sweetness and the light, it hasn’t been that bad either. But that said I think I’ve really been jelling over a lot of it and just blanketing it. Not bad Watson!

It’s strange. For the first time in at least 10 months I’m becoming productive again and things are really starting to move. I have even started commenting in public via blogs and forums again, which is always a good sign. As strange as it sounds I think I’m the happiest I’ve ever been, which in light of recent events is more than sobering - much like an injection of adrenalin straight to the heart (an experience I’m yet to discover).

It’s about 2am here in London and I’ve really never been able to stay awake like I can here. I know tomorrow I’ll wake early and be fine. More strangely still, this will be the third day in a row doing it. Considering I’m still battling along with this silly cold (almost ended now!) and strange thoughts about all manner of things going through my head, some of which I would have found horrific just 3 months ago, I feel good. Real good!

I never made it around to posting about Amsterdam and the random adventures that ensued, I just felt off the whole time and little wonder why. Shit happens. I will definately do a solid round up post before I leave.

I’ve decided that in the interest of public health and safety I needed another break, technically a break, from a break, from a break - that latter of which has become my life Life is really good when you have options of freedom, create them, or at least dream about them (not that I’m that familiar with the latter - but finally I can dream again, in more ways then two as well, lol).

So it looks like what I wanted to say has once again turned into a ramble post, something that I never thought I’d really enjoy as much. I do really love blogging, a happy self reflective comic does Bennie make…

My next destinations are France, Spain, Monaco, Italy, Vatican City, Greece, Austria, Germany, Liechtenstein, Switzerland, Netherlands, something I really cannot be complaining about, albeit for the cost. But I know this is where I’m meant to be, which is really another foreign feeling in itself and I also for the first time (in a while) know why. Not something I’m about to delve into here (draw your own conclusions, even if you’re wrong, you can be right okay!), nor something I fully understand, but it *feels* right. Refreshing.

So on the 1st of July I start my Euro jaunt. I have downloaded a boatload of seriously dodge house, garage, hardstyle, trance, electro, dance and all between and I’m planning on getting just a little silly for the month. So here’s to July 2008 and what it has install, going to be an interesting one I’d say - and if it’s not, fuck it - I’m going to make it interesting. As those that know me well, would tell you I always get what I want (eventually) - it’s a scorpio thing, and next month shall be the same no less. I have poise, drive and focus - relaxavu.

So to all the folk back in Australia, and everyone else, happy July! I’m not going to take my laptop with me and intend on spending the entire month offline. I know it will kill me and thinking about my bloody ’stats’ will drive me mental, but that’s life. If I can go without all that I love since October, then I’m sure a little time away from the income, stats and domains will do me good. At least I won’t be dumping 50-75% of my income on new names (arrgghhh!), I’m sure I’ll thank myself someday. I’m almost up to 600 domains now too

It’s kind of nice that I’m not the Web geek I once was, granted the past week or two have been fairly hectic, getting all manner of things online, but that’s me - all work and no play, then all play and no work. I figure after next month, just chill, do the rest of England, Scotland, Wales, then Japan (so excited about Japan I could wet myself - don’t believe me? you probably should! I don’t lie, more keep secrets, did I mention my incontinence?).

So apart from a conference I’ve been looking forward to for at least a year in November, it will be all work once I get back to Oz, then more than likely I’ll move back to Thailand via Bali - where I will surf until I have abs again. From there I’m saving for an M3 and some property in Oz. I have a vision, it’s grand jealousy creating (shit I hope) and utopian (perhaps Heterotopic - not the medcal definition, older, deeper) but achievable and will set the foundation for grandiose things. That said, I might liquidate some assets and try for a car faster (faster car? maybe even just a damn car?), or even settle on something less ambitious, but that said I’d hate to disappoint, not anyone but myself either. Can’t say that I’ve ever really cared what others think of me despite my at time bitchy, sensitive demeanour - I just figure people don’t understand me yet. Many never will, sadly!

To be honest I know people don’t understand me, which is totally understandable in itself! You become painfully intelligent for a day or two and let me know how you go spending your life watching the land of “ignorance is bliss”! At least outside Australia your opinion is valued a little more (a little :D). Western culture, what a joke! Also for those I just offended, maybe you should be, dumbasses Not like you know, nor realise what you don’t! Intelligence isn’t what you know, it’s knowing what you *don’t* know, and more importantly going to lengths to address the divide! What *lengths* did you go to today?

The Dutch are superior thinkers and I cannot wait to see the city planning, architecture, ride a bike around and obviously visit a coffeeshop or two. I have always been told it’s a beautiful city and that the people are some of the most beautiful in the World, if not the World. Will find out tomorrow I suppose.

I’m not taking my lap top and I have no phone, so I don’t expect to be posting much for a week. I plan on taking loads of pictures and I’ll have to post them when I get back. I will probably sneak in a post or four while I’m away, so they should be quite amusing I’d say.

W00t, I’m sooo excited! Have always wanted to see Amsterdam Other plans were to maybe continue onto Belgium, then France and come back via the EuroStar, a high speed train that runs from France back to the UK. Who knows, I certainly don’t want to - yet!
